Waging Freedom

Waging Freedom

We often hear the phrase, "Freedom Isn't Free." What does that mean within a liberal and free faith? What does it mean to pursue freedom of religion, from poverty, the freedom for equal marriage rights, the pursuit of happiness within our Land of the Free? Waging freedom isn't passive - it takes action, dedication, and intention.

I grew up in a radical church that my dad and my pastor liked to proudly describe as "independent, fundamental, Bible-believing Baptist." I spent my entire youth desperately trying to please a jealous, holy god.

The government wants to read your e-mail

The United States government is pushing to gain the right to read your e-mails, without a warrant. "On October 8, 2007, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati granted the U.S. Government a full-panel hearing to take another look at citizens' rights of privacy for what they're calling "stored electronic communications"

Ok, I said to myself when making this blog that I would do one post per day, but i can't help but write about this as soon as possible. The Libertarian in Me

By heart I am a Libertarian.
I feel as though NO governing body should determine what is right for me and my family. Now I know some people will attept to use my previous post against me but honestly if the government were to suspend all amendments basically legalizing every personal choice. I would be for it.

September 11th and the Constitution

Note: The following entry, which was my fourth column ever published, was not intended to get into intricate details as to why the terrorists attacked us on 9/11. It was, more than anything, a segway connecting that catastrophe and the Constitution together.
