"It's a wonder the teenager can function these days..." A common phrase used by generations older than 25. Such a broad statement that can basically mean just about anything. I am actually referring to the available, advanced, and futuristic technology we utilize in today's society. Yes it is true, we can multi-task faster then most.
I'm currently 18. Legally an adult. I can legally smoke, legally buy pornography, legally go to strip clubs, legally have consensual sex with another adult, vote for who ever I want, and legally be convicted as an adult.
It seems that in this day and age of technology and paparazzi our generation is being forced to stare into an unreal image of what the media wants us to feel like we should look like. This may seem pessimistic and crudely blunt but it seems that there are extremely over-weight kids and super-skinny ones. What ever happened to a good normal sized teenager, or adult for that matter?
I recently saw a bumper sticker on facebook that said, "If you were pregnant, I'd mapquest an abortion clinic for you." Personally, I was shocked. Was this supposed to be funny? Apparently it was since thousands of people had already stuck it to their wall.
