The job market is one place where many people are finding stability to be difficult. Most employees are waiting to see if their names will appear on a short or long list of lay offs, downsizes, reorganizations or company changes. No matter the different type of term used. People are very nervous about their futures and their jobs.

A year ago my father called to tell me that he was no longer living with my stepmom. He was living in an apartment in the next suburb. I was shocked. Sure I didn't get along with my stepmom and never wanted them to marry, but divorce was something I did not approve of. I was very upset when I was a kid and I was told that daddy was leaving. Now I live a whole state away.
