It's kind of funny how it is said that the strongest relationships result from two independent people...
How it takes being able to stand on your own two feet to be able to be happy with someone, and when two people are together not because they need eachother but because being with one another makes them happy, the relationship will be better.
As the first person in my family to go to college, at times I felt lost in not only the application process, but also when I arrived at my university.
If you haven’t already, eventually, you are going to leave home. Exciting! Well, for a while. Then you realize you have no idea what you’re doing. Maybe you should have tried the dorm life first? Maybe living in the dorms wasn’t a good enough transition between living at home and your first apartment?
I come from a moral-based, conformist, Mexican family. So much of that description might make you think that you wouldn't like to be part of a family like this, but I have to say that as times progress, so do people. I should change 'moral-based' into religious because I was raised with that fear most live with that you cannot do certain things or God will punish you or you will go to hell.
Perhaps I have been watching too much television but, it seems that America wants to give up many of her freedoms and be imprisoned under European style socialism. Obama and Clinton try telling their socialist message by telling us we have a health care crisis. They tell us that we are in a recession and they need to take oil company profits to fund alternate energy projects.
I do not know where to start. I read some of these blogs and I am amazed.
I am amazed by the lack of action people take and the lack of motivation.
I recently was reading about a survey on CNN. The survey was about people in America changing their religion during their lifetime. This was a very interesting topic for me because my two roommates recently made the big conversion to the Church of Latter Day Saints. Woah…big change!
I picked up all my stuff in Texas and moved to California in one day. Well of course I had been planning it for sometime. I moved to California for school. It was the easiest/hardest decision I have ever made. I knew that there was nothing in my hometown for me, so I left. I never thought about what I was actually leaving behind.
