The old cliche: "never judge a book by its cover". This is a perfect analogy when it comes to people. Everyone has a story, it may not show by the cover thought, not everyone comes with a self-explanatory title descibing what they've been threw & what they're about. I am 18, I am tall, thin, smart, and funny. This is what people see as they look at me, what they dont see is my story.

Books by their covers: Beyond appearances

Verbal Diarrhea
In a word of politically correct speech I feel that our freedom of the first amendment has truly been squelched. In saying this, however, I think there are words that should not be misused. The following list is clearly not comprehensive. It merely lists a few words that I personally find offensive when taken out of context.

The Right To Die
You know how adults are always asking kids what they want to be when they grow up?

Cystic Fibrosis
Right after my cousin was born, the doctors knew there was something wrong with him. He was having respiratory problems and showed symptoms of an unknown illness. After testing the doctors' found that he had Cystic Fibrosis. The doctors' did what they could but they didn't believe that the infant would make it through the night. But he did.
Skipping Work
This isn't going to be a very long blog, but as I had an issue getting out of bed this morning, I just wanted to post a quick thought on calling into work.
Up until today, I never realized why sick people went to work despite whatever illness they have. I always thought, "If you're sick, you should just stay home and avoid giving someone else what you have!"

Thanks for the Effort Flu Vaccine
Once again, another winter passes and I get sick for the second time this season. And no, against everyone without a PhD's opinion, it is not the flu. Now last season, I'll admit, I did not for the fifth year in a row did not receive a flu shot and exceeded in achievement by catching both strains A and B of influenza.
This Young Girl....
Ever wonder what sort of existence a runaway teen leads? Well, Janice Erlbaum knows; she was one of those kids over 20 years ago. After all her time away from the shelter she believes saved her, she's decided to go back, to try to help others learn that they can live successful lives as well.

11/19/2007... the gloomy monday
I heard my phone vibrating in the middle of health class, I pressed the side button to silence it. About a minute later i hear it again. I checked this time to see who it was. It was my aunt, i don't know why she was calling me. I didn't know why she would call me in the middle of school. As the bell rings i walk to the cafeteria thinking about what could possibly be wrong.
