The United States is building a fence between it an Mexico. Until recently, I was often skeptical of a wall between us and our southern neighbor. I thought, for no reason other than that I had heard this, that it would ineffective. But even more so, I feared a wall would give the U.S. an imperialist, racist, separatist, image.

Is Immigration really that big of a deal?
The controversy over illegal immigration hit a high in March of last year when Alfred Ramos killed two girls on Shore Drive while driving under the influence. Ramos was an undocumented Mexican immigrant, causing the national media and public to debate this as a matter of illegal immigration.

Well as everyone knows the Congress is having troubles with the Border between the United States and Mexico. In Arkansas where I live the City is arresting illegals and deporting them one by one. I think that is a good idea. The place that needs to be raided are some apartments I use to live in. I bet 100% of Hispanics in there are illegals.

Illegal immigrants are being treated like criminals, are they? From my own personal experience with these immigrants I have gathered that the picture fed to us about them is far from clear. Most people that work with the immigrants have shared with me there admiration for the hard work being done by them.
America: What about me?
The one issue that matters to me so much but i really don't blog about is immigration. Anytime i sit to write about immigration, i end up scrapping it no matter how eloquent that blog or writing may be. It's a moral dilemma caused not by my being an immigrant, which i am, but by my having many illegal immigrants as friends, family friends, and even family.
