So i had heard from a friend that there were a few movies of some horrible stuff that have been going around for a few years. The faces of Death movie series is a full length documentary type film that shows upsetting images like suicide and cultural traditions that might be a little untasteful. My question is how did America and the media create a trend of mainstream sadism.
Okay, so this is my first blog...here it goes:
I'm sitting inside my house surrounded by a quiet suburb, listening to Modest Mouse, surfing the web on my personal laptop. Behind me there are boxes from the move we made this weekend, from a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house to a 3 bedroom house where I have to share the only bathroom with my brother and mom. I'm the best at complaining, even though I know how lucky I am.
In the midst of the air I always hear two or more people verbally going at each others’ throat. Bitter bickering never ceases, it has plagued us all since the beginning of man. Hardly anyone tries to find middle ground between each other. Once someone disagrees they begin to throw a tantrum.
Authority is taking over.
The man's law is what goes down. No questions asked.
It is against all common sense to question.
Some would say that we are headed towards an actual dystopia.
One of those things described in one of those books you never believed.
Some of those would say that television is to blame.
I used to be one of those people. Those television haters.
Until recently.
We live in a restricted yet shrinking world. Borders, kingdoms, countries, and the like made sense when it took months to cross a single continent. We now live in an age where physical transportation can take us to the other side of the world in less than a day and the transportation of ideas can occur, for all intents and purposes, instantaneously.
I really wish I had thought of such a simple question myself, but I hadn't. Ya know what's interesting about this question?
I've heard this question thrown around from time to time and it always makes me laugh. I can't figure out if some people can't bear to think of a realm without sex or if they think that sex is the best thing ever and must be in heaven. When I think of heaven, sex does not even enter into the question.
