My father’s mantra over the past eight or nine years has been, “Love the sinner, hate the sin.” It is the guiding principle in his relationship to me since I came out to him. There are a few problems with the practical application of this mantra.
I must say this at the beginning. Parts of this blog seem offensive, but you need to read the whole thing because it all makes sense in the end. I plead with you to read the entire thing. No matter how much I seem to offend you and point my finger at you, do realize that every time I seem to be pointing out a problem in your life, I’m pointing out the crisis in mine.
Something has been brought to my attention, and I can't sit around much longer and not say anything.
Our nation has been split apart by two lifestyles: Christianity and homosexuality.
As I was reading another user's comments about Jesus and how we must follow his teachings I was very struck by the claims that he had predicted very much of the evils which have come to be true in todays world. I believe the writer named war between nations, murder, and homosexuality.

I believe that there are criteria that should be used to decide if a marriage should happen.
I believe that the two people in question should love each other; that the union is done to please only the two involved, not any outside parties; that both parties should have to undergo a test of sorts, to determine their maturity levels.
I understand that this topic is incredibly touchy with a lot of people, so I'm writing this from as unbiased a standpoint as is humanly possible when dealing with this sort of thing.

Sexuality is one of the things that make the world go around.
