In addition to the "feminine problem" that needed to be addressed, I also got hit with a terrible case of the flu. This (as crazy as it sounds) was great because I was able to get into the doctor on Monday without lies, embarassment or invasion of privacy, and take care of myself for once.

Single Working Moms and Health Care - Helpless Because You Won't Help
A little over two weeks into my new government job with the harassment policy from heaven, and I encounter a new problem. Since I lost my health insurance benefits after leaving my last job where I was harassed by a coworker, and I have no health insurance now, I am left to explore other options now that I have a "feminine problem."

Will you have health care as a young 20-something?
I never cared much about health insurance growing up. It was always there, but I was never one of those kids who was always breaking something. In the military, it was always there too, but I never cared much about having it. I mean, who wanted to go to those military quack doctors anyway; you go in coughing up blood and they send you out the door with some tylenol. Now, really!

Doctors: We're smarter, wiser, and better than you, now shut up!
I've been pretty ill for the past... oh... six months or so. By "pretty ill" I mean I am usually physically unable to eat. I have no appetite whatsoever and randomly get nauseas or start puking my guts up even when I haven't eaten anything in the past couple days.

The Welfare System: Downward Spiral
I am in the system. I get $624 per month from SSI (supplemental security income). I am on Medicare, Medicaid, and I'm trying to get into Voc Rehab to help me pay for school because I'm tapped out of student loan money. I will lose Medicare in October. I go to the lab once a month and get my blood analyzed for $600, and $1200 twice a year for extra labs.

Top Seven Causes of Death and funeral Cost
It is quite ironic that the top seven causes of death increase funeral cost. One would think that no health insurance would bring about lower funeral cost.. It is simply not true.
I like to refer to it as the sudden death shocker. The sudden death shocker increases your funeral cost because you are in shock at the time of death of a loved one and you incur higher funeral costs.
