So I happen to LOVE Harry Potter. It all started in 10th grade whenever I’m at my friends house, I used to see Harry Potter posters on her wall and she was obsessed. Then one day I walked into the library and the first and second Harry Potter videos were there so I decided to rent them just to see what was so interesting about them. Just after watching the first video I fell in love.
Harry Potter
yep I'm a witch
I just finished reading the book "What's a Christian to do with Harry Potter?" by Connie Neal...it was actually recommended by my English teacher when he suspected that I was testing my beliefs...he's either agnostic or atheist but won't tell me which one. He told me I'd really enjoy the book if for nothing else a good laugh...and that's exactly what I got from it. A big joke.

Hogwarts is Happy, and So Can We!
Before I start, yes, I did nick the idea for the title from Stephen Colbert's book, and I am paying him due deference, so don't write a bunch of crap about how plagiarism is bad. I already know that, and thank you for being aware.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to be split into 2 movies!
Is this blog worthy? oh well in my mind it is...
Just read that HP and the Deathly Hallows will be split into TWO movies. David Yates, the director of Order of the Phoenix and the Half Blood Prince, will direct both.

Banning Harry Potter is the Dumbest Thing I've Ever Heard
The idea of banning Harry Potter has been around since the first book was introduced. Apparently, parents & religious groups think that J.K.

Dumbledore is Gay
Well, JK Rowling has just finished her book tour in America and revealed some interesting facts about one character in particular. Dumbledore is gay and had unrequited love on Grindlewald. Personally I think it's wonderful. If more children hear about this than they will have a positive, loving, wise fictional role model who is gay.
Any Harry Potter Fans?
There are some questions to this whole Harry Potter jive.
First, what makes Harry Potter so popular?
It is not like the world hasn't read things about magic. There has been many books, theories, and even religions based on magic. What is so spectacular about some world of magic?

Regarding Spoilers (none here, don't worry).
Yes, I bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at midnight (well, closer to 2 a.m.) on July 21st--even though I had to work at 8 that morning--and yes, I read it within 24 hours. I would have waited and actually tried to do something constructive with my Saturday, but I was terrified of the book being spoiled for me. After all, I started reading the books when I was twelve, and now I'm twenty; like millions of other people, I have become very attached to these characters and didn't want their fates revealed to me before I read them myself.
