What is it about music that brings people together and can turn complete strangers into a troupe of singers?

I kid you not. I have seen an entire room of strangers spontaneously break into song and dance.

My brother works for TSA at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas. He called me up today to let me know he got an entire line of passengers to start singing together.

“How?”

Action and reaction are everywhere.

All of us are fortunate.

We live in the best time there has ever been to be alive.
We have access the greatest learning and communication tool the world has ever known, and almost all of us remember when no one had it. The youngest of us are not unlikely to see the day when EVERY person on the planet has access to all of humanity’s learning.

The cold hard truth gets less credit than it deserves.

People like the portions of reality that help them, and make them feel more important, smarter, or please their preconceptions. That is not wrong, but the less fortuitous pieces of reality need love too. Altering the result is best done by embracing all the facts.

I will be discussing humanity as a whole in this post. I don't like global warming since I know nothing about it, and apparently, even scientists, the supposed-to-be masters of objectivity, disagree. Whether it's faulty knowledge or bias, I don't know, or care. I'll touch lightly on it, but I won't talk much in depth about it.

Maybe my story won't be the most revolutionary, but I feel that the truth is a start.
