halloween is by far my favorite holiday. up until this year, i didnt have one. really, i didnt even like holidays, but this year, halloween and i are really like brother and sister. halloween brings so much imagination, and i miss the nights that i would look out of my bedroom window waiting for shooting stars so i could wish for something, like a pet rabbit, and expect it to come true.
Trick or treating is supposed to be amazing. My first time ever was this year. Like for real, kinda pathetic. You already know I was all about the candy!!!
After the incident of Jena 6, the media immediately picks up on the concept of hanging up a noose. Everyone agrees it is an offensive action. However, is it okay to have dummies hanging from trees or houses for Halloween decoration? If so, what makes this an exception? If not, what makes this year so different from the past years?

It is almost Halloween again. I never liked Halloween because it's one of the scariest days of the year (for obvious reason). I would dress up and go trick-or-treat with my friends each year anyway though. Last year, we went to various houses around the neighborhood. But the reactions that we got from most home owners were very...hideous.
Halloween or Samhain as it's known 'round this house has always been our favorite holiday. We spend the months leading up to October 31st in an orgy of decorating the house, scoping out costumes for the boys, checking out the awesome displays around town and just generally enjoying the hell out of it. We're like little kids when it comes to Halloween. Absolutely nothing is off-limits.
