A Formal Apology

Tagged:  •    •

This is a formal apology to those who have actually read my blogs and said “what the hell is he doing, has this kid even gone through the 5th grade”, this would be in response to my horrible grammar and spelling errors. I have started writing them on Microsoft Word and can say that it is getting better.

Everybody on Progressive U Isn't a Genius.

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

My title makes a blanket statement about the entirety of the ProU community. It is likely an untrue statement, at that. It is very possible that someone on this site is a certifiable genius. A more accurate--or at least, safer--statement would read, "Not Everyone on Progressive U Is a Genius." This is most certainly true.

Grammar Ignorance

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •

I understand we are all sloths from time to time but there should be no excuse for ignorance of basic grammar. The grammar rules that I speak of are the most obvious and of first grade level.

Lack of capitalization of the first letter at the beginning of sentences; lack of periods to end sentences, in other words, run-on sentences; shortcut words, e.g. “u” instead of “you.”

I can't be the only one concerned by the lack of proper spelling done by those in my school (at least)!

On good and well

When a person asks another how the latter is, or how he or she is doing (which is, by the way, a greeting in essence; not a literal question), it is commonplace for the recipient to respond with, among other options, “good” or “well.”

Hukd on Fonikz Werkd Fer Mee! Part II

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

I thought, perhaps, I was a little critical in my last post. I recently saw a post regarding grammar and spelling on the internet, and I thought I would shed some light on what to do and what not to do, seeing as how all I did was complain and gave absolutely no constructive criticism.

Your atrocious spelling and lack of punctuation and capitalization makes me want to pull my eyes out with my bare hands while screaming, "Go back to your freshman English class, you moron!"

I feel like that a lot of the time.
