Recently, meaning today at lunch, I found out that one of my friends who is incredibly intelligent, missing only one question on the SAT, was turned down for a scholarship based mainly on scholastic merit, but also on character and involvement in the community. When we asked him why he thought he got turned down he said it was because of his lack of service to the community. Read More »
