Everyone is throwing a huge hissy fit about global warming and how bad we are hurting our planet. Gore comes out with a movie with a bunch of statistics and big words and stuff and then everyone is screaming about green house gases electric cars. And another thing is that it's a trend now to care about the earth. Give it a few months and Paris Hilton will start saying "that's hot... Read More »

Road to "Climate Crisis" essay
After going through some of my older stuff I found this essay that I wrote in the beginning of the first semester this year for English. It was a class assignment: to write an essay analyzing the satire of the article, "Climate Crisis", from theonion.com. The article isn't really covering an actual news story. I mean. . . what are the chances of the government building a giant air conditioner for the nation?? Anyway, I wanted to share this on progressiveu.org in order to show some interesting points the article makes about global warming. Enjoy. :)
Road to “Climate Crisis”
When addressing global warming as a “Climate Crisis” issue, people generally think of environmental activists striving for their cause. However, when the government steps in, a whole new influx of criticisms and commentary are extracted from different perspectives on the multiple properties of a solution. Once again, President Bush utilizes his adamant nature on political issues as well as creating new spoofs in his speech that’s an easy target for satire. Beside these musings, the author of this article hones in on society in general and questions how far people will go to succor the convenience of society. Read More »
GLOBAL WARMING

We have perverted this idea of love into a want for more.
For clothes, bigger cars, and more objects.
This is not what life is about, my friend.
This world is slowly going,
Towards something I am scared of.
It can be prevented, Read More »

War for ANWR
Hello, everyone! For those of you who haven't heard of ANWR, it's the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Located up in Alaska, the Refuge is a very large reservation with a very beautiful and biologically diverse landscape that is home to hundreds upon hundreds of endangered arctic species that the Alaskans are trying to save. ANWR also happens to be the topic of an essay I am doing as of late, and so I thought I would spread the issues out here for people to read and respond to. Read More »

Global... cooling?
I read an article just a few minutes ago, and I was so excited to finally have recent support for my stance on the global warming issue. Being in the minority concerning an over-propagated issue can be difficult at times, and definitely takes stamina.
So here's the article's webpage: http://www.onenewsnow.com/Politics/Default.aspx?id=68277 Read More »
