Have you ever woken up...and in the midst of your groggy, half-asleep state in which you aren't quite aware of everything yet, but you know you aren't dreaming, you read something so stupid that it makes you think - "Did I just read that right?"
Gang violence in my opinion is a horrible issue in the whole world. Were I live it is dangerous and I have seen many people die up the street, close to my cousin's house, in the corner. It is very sad, I did not realize how the gang world would impact me in any way if i stood away from it, that is; until my godmother's son got shot many times and died last month.
I live in a huge suburban neighborhood. All of my life I disliked how similar everything was and how perfect it all seemed, but recently I have realized that maybe it wasn't so horrible.
I would appreciate it if college students would quit coming into my neighborhood to buy their weed. In fact, I would appreciate it if college students would quit buying weed at all, until it is legal. Even if it is delivered to your dorm room for you, somewhere down the line, it affects a neighborhood like mine. And I'm sick of it.
I'm amazed at how many people, even many people involved in alternative, punk, and metal, are so ignorant about skinheads and the skinhead subculture. Everybody seems to believe that a skinhead is by definition a Neo-Nazi, while this is far from the truth. I have four or five close friends who are skinheads, and not one of them is racist. I'll give you a short history.
