Nowadays, there is censoship in the things we read, write, and listen to. I myself have seen it in education. When i was in the 11th grade, my histroy teacher gave everyone a big project. we could pick any big event that happened in the history of the united states. i chose the civil war. Freedom of speech is a defining aspect of Western culture. It enables us to voice our opinions about the government, about other people, about the issues, about other governments. It symbolizes the freedom and liberty we are gifted with in the West and helps the government get a hold on what the people think and helps the people vent their feelings.  Read More »
