Though he has issued a formal apology for his use of the n-word, Reverend Jesse Jackson’s actions were irresponsible, incomprehensible, and reflect poorly upon him as a supposed role model for today’s African American youth. And to compound this issue even more, Whoopi Goldberg sang praises to the n-word before a national television audience of millions of people.
One’s level of self-esteem—whether healthy or unhealthy—is a direct result of the environment and is deeply influenced by daily interactions with family, school, peer group, work place, and community.
The TV went out because of the hail storm so my son decided to watch Aladdin. I am not sure why it occurred to me that this was a representation of the United States government, but it did.

Mental enslavement is the act of blindly and deceitfully maneuvering a person into servitude while that person believes he/she is thinking for him/herself. In realizing that one is mentally enslaved, one can begin to constructively take strides toward freeing their mind from the shackles and re-building a solid, intelligible, unshackled, independent mind state.
What to do when you are so figety that you cannot sit still? What to do when you are so bored with the nothingness that you for a second see it as a good idea to do what you would've never normally done in the first place? What to do when you are absoltuely positively frustrated?!?
I do not know where to start. I read some of these blogs and I am amazed.
I am amazed by the lack of action people take and the lack of motivation.
