Peace be upon you!

The guests arrived at nigt, food was very short, the couple put the hungry children in bed to sleep, put the light out, made eating noise without eating any food so that guests were comfortable in having thier fill.

That (destructive) Chocolatey Goodness

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

Feeling stressed? Sad? Hormonal? Reach for that oh-so-yummy sweet, smooth, goodness of chocolate. Yessss!! It’s my favorite, too. However, is the chocolate industry yet another bad guy in the growing list of environment-hacking products and industries?

Here is a mega list of solutions to lower Gasoline Prices

1. Tax the oil companies.- Tried before does not work.(ala Jimmy Carter)
2. Pass a law saying the oil companies must take their profits and put them in new refineries.
3 Lower the speed limit to 45 MPH-everyone gets mad but it works.
4. Force the farmers to sell soy and corn to ethanol refiners at a lower price-this works

I recently traveled to Kenya with a group of 14 American college students from top universities in our state. While we all come from middle- class families, some had been on missions before, but all were taken aback by what we met in Kenya. During my stay, my team worked with a community called Ngaamba.

Great solutions for the less fortunate

As I scroll through the stations on the Television I see many pointless reality shows. I came across one show that is getting ready to premiere soon. The name of the show is called Hurl. In the show contestants eat alot of food, and then get on a spinning ride. Who ever vomits loses, but the person who doesn't wins 1,000 dollars.

The Future of Meat is Shmeat. Would You Eat It?

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

When it comes to food, I am more regressive than progressive. I believe that my food should be recognizable as food. It should come from a natural source. I have that luxury. I live in the United States, where food choices abound, and viable agricultural land makes up much of the country. Other countries are less fortunate. People in a resource-poor nation may welcome food in whatever form it takes...even if that form is "shmeat."
