I must be weird or something. My friends always tell me about the date that they just went on with the guy they’re seeing, and somehow the words, “He paid for it!” come out. Women in American society have really retrograded from the time of Susan B. Anthony to now, with current role models like Fergie and Paris Hilton.

Why are we willingly characterizing ourselves as vacuous pieces of meat to exist for men's pleasure? Why don't we object to nameless women in bikinis clobbering all over rappers in music videos? Why do we willingly show our bodies for money, or more commonly, for plastic beads? Strong women struggled their whole lifetimes to escape such characterization, and we are willingly herding ourselves back into the pen male-dominated society finds convenient for us?
