So about a week or so ago I found out I had been diagnosed with PCOS, aka Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Turns out I had been diagnosed a few years ago in my medical records, but the doctors failed to actually TELL me (we'll leave that one for a later blog).
Here's something interesting that came up today.
My senior prom is coming up on May 10th. Kind of exciting. Since I'm so desperate for scholarships, I was gonna look into making a duct tape dress and tux for me and my date.
Anywho, I was shopping for dresses since I haven't fully decided on a duct tape gown yet. I showed some to a friend I call "g0at."
I can say that in today and yesterday’s society I am ashamed to be a female. I can’t be proud of a gender that is marketed. All though society and history women have been and still are commodities. We were born to be boys, raids to bed property, and bought to be wives. Do not get me wrong society is taking steps but until that leap is taken, I will be ashamed to be a female.
About five days a month, for all twelve months, for about forty years, women BLEED. And that's without any substantial injuries. Aunt Flo sure can be a bitch, and she doesn't just come to town for the holidays. The shedding of one's uterine lining as a cause yields a variety of effects - cramps, moodiness, and expressions of disgust from unfamiliarized males, to name a few.
Hair always perfect. Face consistently plastered with the sweetest smile. They read their Bibles each and everyday. Each day of the week has a different bible study or you group. They volunteer for vacation bible school every single year. NGCs sing the special music almost every week. They are not too quiet, but never outspoken. They have never had a single enemy.
Presently, in my Adolescent Psychology course, we have been addressing development and how it socially affects girls. Early development makes them especially prone to sexuality and deviance as their “matured” appearance pushes them into deviant behaviors (they are more prone to adolescent pregnancy) and makes them seek an older peer group.
I love my friends with all my heart but sometimes they can be pains in the rear. Life was so much better when we could look at a friend of the opposite sex and not think about what life would be like dating them or marrying them.
