I think I have been fairly open about my distaste for some aspects of Hillary Clinton's candidacy. But I feel like I should make it a bit clearer that I don't dislike the majority of her platform points, nor will I be completely devastated if she edges out Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination.

I don't know about anywhere else, but my local newspaper has been printing a lot of articles about women needing to vote for Hilary Clinton. It drives me nuts! Just because I am a woman I should vote for a female president? What if she is not what is best for our country?

Now wouldn’t that be a funny. Let’s imagine the United States with a female president for a moment. Now that would be a laugh riot wouldn’t it? Women do not have a place among the men at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. America was founded by men, so why shouldn’t it be run by them?

Is the United States ready for a female president?  That is a question I am sure many will ask in the coming months before the primaries.

I have read numerous articles regarding this subject. At first, I was very excited to learn that America might have its first female President or a man of color President for 2008. However, I realized that racism and sexism still and will exist for at least another decade.
