When it comes to obesity, who hasn't heard the argument that the reason for obesity comes from a genetic line?

I read this article in today’s Washington Post about the problem of obesity. I thought the problem of obesity was actually quite funny, people eating themselves to death and what not. But this article pointed out that if too many people are sick and going to the hospital the U.S. could face productivity problems.

Hydrogenation.

You are walking down the street and you look around; what do you see? Do you see people that are too fat or too thin or what? Are you a part of any of these groups in society?
We all want to bee thin or buff - for guys- or with curves, right?

Mom always told me that fat was one of the last forms of accepted discrimination, I guess I never really saw what she meant until today. I was there in class, and these guys were sitting there judging the work my partner and I were doing. I thought they were okay dudes, city type so obviously we aren't going to see eye-to-eye on a lot of things but that's the way the world works.

Living here, it's so easy to think "I've got this eating right thing down. I'm good. Good. To. Go!" but when you get out in the real world, you realize "Oh, shit. Um. Do I really need TWO starches? Nah. But I should. But I don't have to. So I won't. But I will. But I'll feel guilty."

During this week's America's Next Top Model, I witnessed an all too common, and unfortunate occurrence--when criticism from one person results in another using racist commentary as revenge.

Could you live without a mirror? Maybe just for one week. Could you go through 7 days straight without looking at yourself in the mirror? Probably not.
