I walked into my local McDonald's the other day because my mother and I were hungry. I really don't eat fast food, but I was in the mood. I ordered a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal and was asked, "Do you want your free Quarter Pounder with that?" I turned around and noticed a sign that said something like "Free Quarter Pounder or Big Mac with purchase of one of the same".  Read More »

I had a conversation the other day with a friend that immigrated here from the UK. He made a comment that most American poor are stereotypically obese. You're at a drive-thru. The cashier asks for your order. You pick a salad. yay for you! Finally a healthy alternative to the stock burger combos. The only problem is when they ask if you'd like anything else & you order a fry.
