Innocence does not equal safety. It does not imply that everything will turn out fine nor does it means that it is okay to assume that forever lasts forever. The word innocent itself has often been linked to emancipation thanks to the superficial popularity of judge shows and courtroom dramas, but for me the word personifies a time in my life when I was free from judgment.
Home. It's the one place you can go where you know you will be safe, loved, and cared for. It's a haven, a shelter, somewhere to find peace. My home is wherever my family happens to be. I live in a typical suburbia townhome with my mother and two younger sisters. My mom is probably one of the strongest women I know.
I mean, I don't care WHAT they do behind closed doors. I just don't want to watch them making out in public. What if there were kids around? They don't need to be learning about that! I just wish the heterosexuals wouldn't force their agenda on us like that.
This whole issue about gay marriage bothers me.
So many people have their own opinion about the war in Iraq or war in general. Personally I could talk for days about it and never quite fully explain my feelings. However I found a passage among Tim O'Brien's great novel "The things they carried", which I think gives the greatest explanation of war I have ever heard...
So... It's happened again.
Yet another woman has showed up at my doorstep with a problem. This time, she hasn't been hit by her...um...beaux(?) But she's already showing the signs!
When I listen to the radio I usually stick to a few trusted stations that I know play good music but every once in a while, the dial goes awry and I find myself listening in on the topic of gay marriage. Some say they're born gay; others deny the fact.

All across the country girls from age 7 and above are getting all dolled up to go on dates with their dads to special dances called Purity Balls. There, they dance, eat cake, have fun and publicly pledge their sexual purity to their dads.
