I think we can all agree that our current tax system is less than desirable. No one wants to pay taxes, but, like Ben Franklin noted, it's one of two things in life that are a sure thing (that, and death). Besides, government, which is supposedly good, needs taxes to operate. So, there's no getting around paying taxes. The current problem with our tax system is the way we pay taxes: the income tax. I support the Fair Tax (the form of taxation which would abolish the income tax by replacing it with a hefty sales tax) because it would help the government receive more money and use the money more efficiently, therefore allowing the tax itself to be lower.  Read More »

Hey the fair tax is the best thing this country needs. To all those who say it will raise the prices on things they are wrong. There is already a twenty two percent embedded tax on everything you buy and with the fair tax they will take away that tax and add the twenty three percent taxes.
