Experiences

In an effort to prepare for an exciting new opportunity, I'm asking you guys out there in Blog World for a favor. If you have been to some sort of therapist or counselor, can you share with me about your experience?

Our plane was delayed for over two hours. When we finally board the plane, we find a middle-aged woman sitting in my seat. Jenny politely says, "Ma'am, I think you are in one of our seats". The woman extends her arm towards us and sticks out her index finger. Apparently she's too busy to respond to Jenny because she's checking her "very important" voice messages.

No one likes to have challenges in their lives; however, stress is normal. How we handle challenges when they arise -- particularly the significant ones -- says a lot about who we are and about human psychology in general.

I know the answer. I have for some time. It's easier to believe made-up lies. But my memory can't recall when I promised my soul, so I guess that it's safe to jump right in. Inside, I have feelings that bring back my hunger's needings. My deafinition makes me blind - twisted in my mind. Beginnings are so much easier than ends. And the truth becomes harder than just to pretend.

Those tiny, tiny fingers holding onto the pool edge, suddenly were not. Instead, there were big, round, vividly blue eyes screaming "Hey! Down here! Help me!". It seemed that life was literally flashing before my eyes, but not my life.

It was this beautiful baby's life.

I don't know her name or anything more than the fact she was probably about one year old.

“Rebecca, you… need… to… enjoy… your… time… here!” shouted
Lidia, my temporary mother. Little did she know, just because I asked her to
repeat the phrase twice, I wasn’t trying to imply that I couldn’t hear, merely
that she needed to speak more clearly and slowly. I was in Valencia, Spain,
what I like to consider my home away from home.
