Apart from books, I think the most influential media source in my life is film. Actually, maybe including books, but that's a tough call because I've only been impacted by a few books compared to movies, but the books were more impacting overall. Anyhow, here's my top list of movies that changed my life or made me think differently.

Where do we define our moral lines?

Typically, the power group in control helps define what they believe to be obscene or not obscene. However, when everyone comes from different historical backgrounds, their view of scene most likely differs from another person's view.

War and hatred and apathy and cynical nonchalance are the spawn of closed eyes.
I am convinced of this.

If we, as the human race, could see the world stained in a different shade--through the eyes of different cultures and communities than our own--I sincerely believe that we would be more hesitant to point the finger or drop a bomb.

I recently watched an episode of the PBS series "frontline". The episode was "Endgame", describing the timeline of the war in Iraq, and the supposed direction in which it is going. This is the paper I wrote summarizing the film along with my opinions on the war.
