This is my first blog here on progressiveU, and I'll try to make it as informative as possible. Or maybe I mean opinionated.
election
Tomorrow's It...
So, I've come to the conclusion that politicians are greedy and selfish. Okay, I've always known that but now more than ever. Since tomorrow is Indiana's primary the candidates have been focusing a lot of attention here and making it seem like they really care about the constituencies, but they don't. They just want the votes. How do I know?
To vote or not to vote?
Does your vote count? I'm not sure. What is the electoral college? Why do they get to decide who wins?
These all are answers that were probably shoved in some government class we were all required to take in high school. However, it is surprising to find out exactly how few people know the answer to these questions.

Obama vs. Wright
Three months ago, many would've thought that Senator Barack Obama was untouchable after his massive wins during Super Tuesday etc. However, amid the Reverend Jeremiah Wright controversy, Republicans and opponents of Obama are on cloud 9 especially since Wright is fueding with Obama and given Senator Hillary Clinton her biggest jump in weeks.

*Starstruck*
I've never been starstruck before. I see a lot of bands and a lot of "celebrities." In fact, the entire idea of it makes me ill. We're all just people. To watch the way "celebrities" are treated- ick. So what if they can sing or act or play ball? Tonight, I went to see Barack Obama speak. *sigh*
Church and State aren’t separated… they’re mixing whether we like it or not
At the same time that there is a general call for separation of church and state, the majority of the nation seems to think they are tied together - and quite a bit.

Some Pennsylvanians say," I am bitter!"
I find it funny that Hillary Clinton has been trying to use Sen. Obama's comments against him. If you have not heard the full quote, Obama said:
"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. ...

The Issues- Obama, Clinton, McCain and the truth.
There's too much talk about polotics that people heard from a FM radio station, or on a billboard. I'm tired of it. People just don't know what they're talking about. People posting vauge blogs about the nominee's "promises" or "Political View" -and it's simply because they just don't know, or they're trying to sound stupid. I'm tired of it.
