Last Tuesday, I watched a documentary on PBS called "Anyone and Everyone." The focus was on parents of gays and lesbians. Their kids had come out in their teens, and they discussed their reactions and the kids discussed their feelings of coming out to them. Each family had an entirely different background- Asian, Hindu, Mormon, Catholic, Bolivian, and Cherokee Indian.

Several months ago, Joel Schwartzberg from NOW on PBS contacted us to bring their show and website to our attention. I took a look at it... and loved it. Unfortunately, time got away from me and I never got a chance to write this blog.

In a democratic (perhaps more appropriately, postdemocratic) society, the media holds an important responsibility in that they are to expose corruption, fairly discuss political topics and provide a dissenting voice to the rhetoric of the elite.

Planet in Perils

A documentary from CNN called “Planet in Perils” came out on Oct. 23rd and 24th, 2007. I will admit that before I saw the show, I never fully paid attention to global warming or anything else regarding our environment. If you are new to the environmental issues that our world is experiencing today, “Planet in Perils” is the perfect show for you.
