Cleansing the vessel of self is done by being gentle. Answering harsh words in same manner would be pitty. Patience and passionate prayer will help spiritual ill. True believer is gentle at heart. Respondinging evil with good is goodness. Suppressing anger is bravery. The one who prays for brothers and sisters and forgives cannot have hatred.
Lately, I, a Social Worker with a disability trying to win money for her graduate degree, have been searching various scholarships for disabled people, as well as the many other things I am. Happily, some of these scholarships have been listed under minority scholarships, which pleases me a lot. Whoa. What?
...a college student.
...a older sister.
...a family member of someone battling Cervical Cancer.
...a homeless youth.
...a child of divorce.
...a daughter and victim of an abusive father.
...a lesbian.
...Me.
I am sick of people telling me that what I choose to do with my life is wrong. First of all what is it any of your business what I do with my life as long as it doesn't affect you. Second I wish it was a choice but its not. I did not choose to be a lesbian. I can not help that I am attracted to or fall in love with women.
Imagine walking up to your pastor for the bread and the wine at a Roman Catholic Communion. Now imagine if he just shakes his head and refuses to give you the body of Christ. Apparently, this priest has never heard of the famous Bible quote "Do not judge lest you be judged." What was the reasoning behind this refusal?
In response to an article I read on Haruki Murakami's writing, I too am beginning to reject the "love is good" ideology held by modernists. From a postmodern POV, love is not a participatory emotion but rather a self-asserting emotion. It seems that love is a result of our need for another person's support.
wow its like it will never end. im so tired of people being so judgemental. i mean yes we all do it but sometimes other people take it to far. ill use myself as an example ok im plus size. i have always been a bigger gurl. since birth i was almost 11 pounds. i know talk about a big baby. but thats just me and i cant change who i am.
So far whenever I’ve written an article, I haven’t been filled with anger at the topic I’ve chosen. I try to stay neutral, but I think it’s time I take a stand. Because to tell the truth, the topic I’ve chosen today makes me very angry and disappointed in humanity.
