I recently read an article in the New York Times about an organic baby formula Similac puts out. It basically says that while this formula is organic (and thus supposedly better for you), it uses cane sugar instead of other sugars.

Even those who are conscious of the importance of knowing what they eat are often not aware of the ingredients that compose their food when they eat at restaurants, or when they purchase packaged food at a grocery store.

Tagged:  •    •    •

So, I've been watching Discovery Health tonight, in lieu of doing my microbiology and ASL homework. One of the typical programs on, about real life stories in the ER, had a rather interesting story on tonight. Basically, a little boy came in with extreme pain when he tried to walk.

Recently, I heard about a natural product that helped my great grandmother reduce her dependence on 21 medications per day, down to 1 pill per day within six months. Then, my mother revealed that an old friend of the family had cervical cancer and took the same product. Apparently, before she even finished the bottle, she returned to her doctor and he said it was somehow gone.
