Obama vs. Wright

Three months ago, many would've thought that Senator Barack Obama was untouchable after his massive wins during Super Tuesday etc. However, amid the Reverend Jeremiah Wright controversy, Republicans and opponents of Obama are on cloud 9 especially since Wright is fueding with Obama and given Senator Hillary Clinton her biggest jump in weeks.

As an atheist who believes wholeheartedly in the separation of church and state, I was angered when I read that Hillary and Barack brought up religion and found it necessary to discuss their own beliefs at a forum in Pennsylvania's capital city of Harrisburg. The longer this “race for the delegates” continues, it is becoming increasingly clear that Clinton probably will not be able to get the presidential nomination. Although many people believe there is no harm in her continuing the race, regardless of the fact she has little chance at winning, her remaining in the race could have dire consequences for the democratic party.

Pennsylvania, the best friend state

On Friday Pennsylvania senator Bob Casey officially endorsed Barack Obama as president. Now it seems like the 2 freshman senators are quickly becoming best friends.

Let Nader Speak

I want to see Ralph Nader on the ballot and in the debates. I may or may not vote for him, but I want the option. For too long the Republicans and Democrats have dominated the elections and this has left us with little choice. Rather than voting for the candidate we feel represents us best, we end up voting for the lesser of two evils.

I can still remember when Jon Stewart and the Indecision 2004 crew made joke after joke about the obvious disjointed issues of the Democratic Party.
