It's strange when the people who come at you with pitch forks, trying to hoodwink you into doing what is best for them, not for you, are those you trust most. Sure, they have good intentions, but they are not you. They cannot see what goes on inside that head of yours. They missed the thought process behind the decision you have already made.
I just don't understand.
Why do most white/caucasian people always want to bring up issues that don't exist? Why is it that when a race debate is opened the first thing they do is bring up the things blacks have and whites don't? They are always saying well you have Black History Month. They say you have BET. They say you have colleges, scholarships and whatnot.
I would hate to be president; to be under so much scrutiny. One minute, the public loves you, and the next they hate you. Everyone blames you for the problems with the beaurocracy/democracy and all the other "-ocracies". You make one choice that can't be undone, and at first the public backs you on it and supports it.
My parents are good with money. Although they are not rich, they spend responsibly. I admire my parents for their determination to use the little amount of money they have to the greatest extent for both my sister and I. Often they try to enforce the wise strategies that they have used on me.
I don't really have a major right now. The college I'm attending has my interest listed as "general education-associates in arts". It's vague, it's nondescript, and I like it that way.
If a "child" (under 18) consents to having sex, does that make it okay? How young should someone be in order to completely control their own rights and responsibilities. By age 18 for sure, an individual is able to make their own decisions. But what about at age 16? Is there really that much different in a maturity level in those 2 short years? What about at age 14?
i find it hard to believe that school is going to end in 3 months... i felt as if just yesterday i woke up and started up my way on this mountain called "junior year" and now it seems that the journey will be over and then senior year will come by and go just as quick.
I was working on some scholarship applications during school today. I had nothing else to do, because it's finals week and I don't really have tests that require studying. (Sometimes I feel like the only high schooler who still uses this site.) One of them required an essay that got me really thinking.
