So, all day I have been formulating my anger and trying to find a cohesive way to put it into words without just writing up another rant filled with expletives and nonsensical phrases. I even see that we have a poll up about this particular topic; and for a short while, I had decided that I would leave it alone... move on, find something else to blog about.
Death Penalty

Supreme Court rules that Child Rapists cannot be sentenced to the Death Penalty
Death Penatly or Not?
so the case that has been all over the news lately has been wether or not to put the guy on a death penatly for being the worst child rapist ever. Does anybody understand and agree with all the people that have been put to death. Is it really a cruel and unuasual punishment. The court has ruled that it is not but what are your opinions on the whole thing.
Death Penalty
How can the US government (or the common people for that matter) think its right to kill a man for war crimes (Saddam Husein) when, if one of our leaders was captured and killed we would think it was terrible and murderous. When deciding that Saddam had to be killed, we failed to consider the opinions of he himself or his followers. And another thing to consider: IT WAS THE US GOV.
Executing Judgment and Judging Executions
The Supreme Court is currently in the process of making a decision regarding the potential cruelty of lethal injection, the most popular form of capital punishment in the United States. An opponent of the death penalty in all cases in the United States, I'll save the cruelty argument for another time. Instead, I wish to utilize this space to discuss the process leading up to the death penalty.

Give me liberty, or give me death...
The United States was originally founded on the idea of life, liberty (defined as the freedom from government, external rule and restrictions) and the pursuit of happiness.

Give Them Liberty, or Give Them Death...
The question here is just that- freedom for murderers to live or sentenced to death?
An Eye for an Eye
An issue that is in constant debate is the death penalty, also known as capital punishment. As of right now, there are 36 states with the death penalty including the U.S. Government and Military. These states have certain statutes by which they can use the death penalty. For instance, Alabama may use capital punishment only for intentional murder with 18 aggravating factors.
Pro-life: what does it really mean, anyway?
What does it really mean to be pro-life in this world today, anyway? On the one hand, we have abortion; on the other, the death penalty. How can you be for one, but not the other?
