Radical Islamist Students have taken over the Red Mosque in Islamabad again. This comes shortly after a bloody showdown at the same mosque in which more than a hundred radical Islamists were killed. Apparently these radical students--the ones who aren't dead yet--are demanding that Pakistani authorities release Maulana Abdul Aziz, their leader who was captured while trying to flee the mosque dressed as a woman. This article seems to be laden with fear. The authors seem to want to readers to feel uneasy (fnord) but I don't know why.

This blog is due to the Cuban Nationals living down in Florida who got mad at the fact that the Children's Books about Cuba did not include some of the "Disgusting livings" that the people endured.  A bit more of a rant then anything else... eh what ever.

As a kid I read many a children's book concerning other nations. One where people would travel the globe and visited places like Russia where they would dance with the people, got all bundled up in traditional furs because of the cold winters, ate traditional foods and toured Moscow.

They always seemed like they had a great time.

Of course this didn't include the cold war heating up and there was no mention of Stalin, Gulags, the KGB, or nuclear weapons.  Read More »
