Corn is being advertised as becoming a better source for gas. Corn produces ethanol which is way more ec-friendly than regular gasoline. Corn is an abundant renewable source produced in the United States that can reduce our dependance upon petroleum and foreign markets. Reformulated gas mixed with ethanol is more affordable and prevents air pollution and groundwater contamination.
But, on the other hand. Wouldnt producing a corn based gasoline only result in the same effects. Corn will become a desired product and prices of things like; popcorn, tortilla, and corn itself will be rising to an all time high. If this corn gas {as I like to call it} becomes a popular demand how will the United States be able to produce it at this all time high rate. Read More »
