If you were to ask a classroom full of students how many of them own iPods more than half of them would raise their hand. iPods are popular amongst the young people. I see a lot of people sporting them around no matter where I am: the store, campus, work. Have you ever seen someone you know around town listening to their iPod?
Are planning a trip to Hawaii anytime soon? .. Do you wish to go to Hawaii one day?? Well, as a Hawaii resident .. I must say there's a few words, phrases, etc that you should know when staying in Hawaii.
Everyday Use:
1. Kokua [ko-coo-ah]-- Help or "to assist"
Used in a sentence: "Thank you for your Kokua" (Thank you for your help)
2. Pau [pow]-- Finished, done, all gone
Society is such a sad place. There is so much that is miserable and ugly, so much fighting and hatred in people, homes, and countries. However, instead of acknowledging this and trying to fix this, society sticks its head in the sand. I see people who wish so desperately to create a new reality, but refuse to acknowledge this ugliness or change it into something better.
This entry is going to be a bit different from the last one. I’m actually planning to post a conversation/debate starter, expressing my views on GLBT issues as they relate to today’s society. I’m afraid I’ll be relying a lot on personal stories.
It's amazing to see and hear people's responses to Christianity. And not just Christianity, but evangelism.
