Eating disorders: Coming soon to a disabled person near you?

Okay, so today I feel less Rah Rahish, but there is something I'd like to tackle. I just read a blog by a gimp (her word, not mine, so used with tacit permission) who was discussing her new need for attendant care quite well.

Helping Baltimore and having a little fun and ice cream

On April 19th, I went to Baltimore City for another student government event, "Day of Service". Some members of the SGA and I took a trip downtown to the Amazing Grace Church to start a project for making a garden outside.

Have you ever volunteered abroad (or in your own country) and wondered what would happen once you left? Would your message become lost with time? Would the people whose lives you saw change go back to how they once were?

Helping our community

My Venture Crew is always looking for ways to help in our community and other communities. Recently we have taken on a cemetary clean up. We have also done food drives, road clean ups, and recently we completed a drive for the salvation army. At Christmas time we go around singing carols. We also go and visit local senior citizen homes, playing games, watching movies or just talking with them. We have helped put up a building for a local history museum. Once we went and helped cub scouts learn the ropes of camp cooking.

Woo--Woo! I think I can, I think I can...

The little engine that thinks she can!

(Actual ability TBD.)

I do (although I am ashamed to say it) have a facebook account. I got it so I could keep up with events at my college. But I also found a group supporting a Deaf guy (Chris Khanoyan -- pronounced, cuh-noi-an) who was to appear on American Inventor. There was actually a Deaf woman who pitched her idea of a vest with speakers in it to facilitate enjoyment of music for the Deaf on a previous episode, but she didn't get past an initial 'yes', so I figured that Chris's idea wouldn't go so well either.

I was both right and wrong.
