A Man Without A Country

A Man Without a Country is by far one of the best, short-reads I've ever placed my eyes on. Kurt Vonnegut was such a masterful writer, it is too bad he is not here with us today to make blood shoot out of the eyes of people like Rush Limbaugh and Jeff Katz.

Darn Communists

Tagged:  •    •    •

So I was reading a local newspaper the other day and I came across one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. It was a letter sent into the paper and the author had some really unique ideas. First they were pushing for people to stay away from the polls in 2008.

Can we save North Korea?

Intellectual stimulants can come in the strangest ways, especially when it’s from a concert video uploaded on youtube. I’m a huge fan of Korean music, and one of my favourite Korean artists is Shinhwa (Myth), a 6-member boy band. Out of the hundreds of videos I watched of them, there was one that really sent my mind reeling.

Marx's Last Words: "I Am Not A Marxist!"

I took a sociology class in my Junior year of high school, just for kicks and giggles. I thought it'd be fun--and in all honesty, it really was. Unfortunately, I'm doomed to run around for the rest of my life defending the so called "Father of Socialism" thanks to that class.

Castro & the Futre of Cuba

Tagged:  •    •    •

So I am sure everyone has heard that Fidel Castor stepped down as Cuba's president during the night. When I heard the news this morning I was kinda in shock, I had believed that he would keep his power until the day he died. This is his quote that Castro wrote to inform the world, "I will not aspire to, nor will I accept the position of president of the council of state and commander in chief,".

Castro Says Goodbye. Now What?

Every couple of months, Fidel Castro disappears from public. He may be an 81 year old man with health problems, but he's no longer the leader of Cuba.

Radical Capitalism vs. Communism

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

Hey!! I'm new to this but I've recently gotten more interested in politics so I'm going to give it a try.

I'm taking economics and government this year and surprisingly I'm enjoying it. It's probably because my teacher makes it really interesting but I never knew that I would actually look forward to my economics class!!!
