Should parents be going back to college and when is a good time to go back it you decide to?

As the first person in my family to go to college, at times I felt lost in not only the application process, but also when I arrived at my university.

As May 3rd approaches, another grade of students are preparing for the most important test of their lives: the SATs. They have studied as much as they can; memorizing tricks, working on mathmatic skills, and improving their writing for their future. No amount of studying can prepare them for being tired and being in agony during a three and half hour long test.

So, I was taking the FCAT SSS Mathematics today. Afterwards, the teacher and the whole class was having a talk and honestly, I can't blame older people.

There is so much information people need to know before they even enter High School, in my opinion. I try to be informed. I don't see out information unless I'm seriously interested, or it comes to me; but that isn't seeking, is it?

i know i haven't posted a blog in about 3486347 years. sorry. life's rough. well i wanted to touvh up on the subject of college and the application process and just plainly how much it SUCKS.

So i applied to about 7 schools- FIU, UCF, UF, UWF, USF, Penn State, && Hartford. Don't ask why i applied to Penn, miracles happen right?

I really can not get a grasp on why school costs so much money! Oh wait, yes I can because I know that if more people voted in my age demographic the likelihood of tution rising so drasticially every year would dramatically decrease, but what do I know?

So... I'm new to this. I thought I would start out with a light topic to get the discussion started.

Who here likes the Ivy League and what it stands for?

Hillary Clinton proposed the idea of giving each baby who is born in United States $5000 into their bank account. She said that it will help the family afford higher education and learn about the value of savings account. At first, it sounded like a brilliant idea. But I wonder how is she going to pay for it?
