Coffee

Smells so lovely when you pour it,
You will want to drink a quar't
Of coffee.
It's delicious all alone, it's
Also good with doughnuts.
Black coffee.
Coffee stimulates your urges,
It is served in Lutheran churches,
Keeps the Swedes and Germans
Awake through the sermons
Have a pot of it today,
I'm sure you'll say it's awfully
Good coffee.

Has anyone noticed how Starbucks and McDonald's are now competitors?

As I sit here with my first cup of morning coffee, thinking, "Whew! It's getting late! I almost gave myself a withdrawal headache," it occurs to me that this coffee thing has gotten out of hand.

It is Lent.

Oh, right. Forgot to mention that I'm Catholic.

On February 26th Starbucks nationwide will be close for re-training. Quality at Starbucks has been going down so Howard Schultz has decided to close the 7,100 stores from 5:30-8:30 PM to train the employees.

I know I'm not the only one who's complained that Starbucks baristas do not know how to make a decent coffee anymore. The chain has lately become famous for its automatic machines and the hit-or-miss quality of its products.

I was talking to a friend of mine once about the USA, and how powerful we are as a nation. We have one of the strogest, if not the strongerst military in the world, and we are a very proud people, meaning we think what we want, when we want, how we want. Well, not too long ago, I was reminded about this conversation of how great we our country is when I went to work early that morning.

Here I am sitting at work... yes I'm on the internet at work.. I work at the college Coffee Shop which I have to say is very boring..... I work afternoon shift.. so the only time I get anyone is when they want something for supper... but I'm sitting here and I'm contemplating why do I do these crappy jobs and work my ass off when I could prbly go out and get a better job....
