I love my city--it is clean and on the forefront, dotted with art and spotted with singular architecture, filled with bankers, politicians, writers, artists, and complete with efficient and plentiful services for all of her residents.

The Use of Racial Slurs and its Effects on Society

Where I live and goto school, I hear racial terms used daily. But not in the racial 'way' that you might think. Such terms that were once used as a hateful term in the past to describe African Americans are now being used as a greeting by African Americans themselves.
I don't understand how the human race can evolve away from racism if such terms are still imminent in todays society.

City Girls and Country Girls

I had a friend who came from a suburban state. She told me how much she hated New York City and wanted to go back to where she came from. When I asked her why, she told me, "This place is disgusting." And I wonder if Southerners still hate the Northerners like the time of Civil War...
