One of my favorite topics to complain about is the public education system; especially the Arkansas educational system. I attended classes in two different school districts in the state and I somehow managed to survive the experience. During my years in the system, it became obvious that there was a serious problem and that it wasn't relegated to one particular area or to any district in particular, but was instead widespread throughout the state and districts. Funding was horrible, qualified teachers were hard to come by, the student to teacher ratio was astronomical in many districts, building were in dire need of repair, textbooks were outdated, the list goes on.
