People often brag about how their entire lives revolve around their children, how their kids have given their lives meaning and purpose.
Why then, is it so difficult for them to pay a reasonable salary to those who care for their children on parent's-night-out?
I love being a foster parent. My foster daughter, Gongli, is great. Right now she is sitting across the desk from me pretending that the stapler is a telephone. Oh to be a kid again... And this is exactly how I feel. The other crap I usually worry about is gone and now my mornings are filled with oatmeal and Dora the Explorer.
Let me tell you. I babysat Thursday night for a little boy named Mark who is 4 years old. I watched him from 2-1am and we had some pretty weird and funny times.
