I babysit two autistic boys when their parents need a break, which is often. Jacob is 13 and reasonably functional, although quite stubborn. Someone who doesn't understand would probably assume he was extremely spoiled. Josh, severely autistic, is about my age. When I was first asked to babysit, I admit, I was nervous. So I have been a member here for almost three days. I have heard more Autism here than I have heard in my whole life. Then, I heard about it on the news. So I heard a few of the symptoms. One little decade

My cousin is autistic. When she was diagnosed eleven years ago, she was a beautiful two year old with ringlets and dimples that could melt even the hardest of hearts. Not many really knew what autism was and looked at us oddly when we would attempt to explain. Fast-forward a decade and Tabitha is a mercurial 13 year old.
