Articles of Confederation

The following is the second column I ever had published - a look at a key item in US history.

On September 17th, 1787, forty American men convened to sign a treasonous document. Among these traitors were George Washington, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton. They signed what is now the United States Constitution.

After the American Revolution it was up to congress to establish an organized government so that the United States would not fail. In a quick attempt to do this congress approved the first nation contistution- the Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation, however, was anything but perfect.
