Today, as I was browsing movie reviews for varioous flicks, I came across one for Disney Pixar's Wall.e. One sentence in paticular caught my eye:
quote-
"It's kind of a dark concept, don't ya think"
It got me thinking. The whole concept of the film, is a robot, named wall.e, whose been on the planet earth for 700 years by itself, until one day, that all changes.
argument

It's kind of a dark concept, don't ya think?

My body is turning into jello. Plus: Schizo or Not you decide!
I have never been athletic or very strong but there have been times when I could run for miles and do push ups until doom’s day; this is not one of those times. I barely leave the house and almost never exercise. My legs are numb and have almost no sign of muscle. I cannot even begin to describe where my four-pack went.

I Can't Leave Now--Someone is WRONG on the Internet!

How true is this in our lives today? Even on this website. How many of us just can't tear ourselves away from ProgressiveU because someone just posted a reply to a blog or a comment and, goodness gracious! They didn't agree with what was said. Start the next round of finding facts (I hope!) online to counter what they just said.

Public Affection
I have some friends who happen to be twin sisters, and they sure are some oddballs. There is so much to admire and appreciate about them like how no matter what they are themselves. However, sometimes there are those moments when you are showing too much of yourself. They might criticize me for saying this but when you have an argument, not everybody needs to know about it.

Speak with Grace
There are three main types of rhetorical appeals: the appeal to ethos, the appeal to logos, and the appeal to pathos.

The Gun Control Argument part 2
To be quite honest, the majority of the response I got to my first blog on gun control was negative and angry, and it got me down quite a bit. But, the majority of the arguments I saw were also better, more thought out, and much more educated than the ones that I had previously come in contact with. It certaintly was enough to change my mind.

Appeal to Ignorance!
Argumentum Ad Ignorantiam (aka the argument from ignorance): the fallacy that a proposition is true simply on the basis that it has not been proved false or that it is false simply because it has not been proved true. This error in reasoning is often expressed with influential rhetoric.

Pink Think
I was reading Lynn Peril's essay and there were some things that I found pretty persuasive and agreeable in it. In her essay "Pink Think," Lynn Peril talks about the widespread ideal femininity in today's society.
