Yesterday was Endangered Species Day and I felt like ranting for a bit

Some of the first words we learn as children are cat and dog. We are taught these words at the beginning of our verbal endeavors because they are short, easy to sound out, and simple to spell. They are also good to use because they can be attached to a concrete visual reference.

Pets affect families in positive ways everyday. They are good companions and keep the kids busy regardless if it is playing ball or taking a walk. Children learn how to care for other things which teaches them responsibility. Children also learn that when there is one friend to rely on it is a dog. That is why I want a German Shepard.German Shepard’s are good companion.

Some people have been really concerned about the display of a stray dog in an art exhibit. Yes, the dog died. Many things die. But would you have ever thought about the concept of death in this way if he had not made this "art"?

First of all, I'm all for altering your pets. There's a serious pet overpopulation problem leading to thousands of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats being killed because there isn't enough room for them at the shelter. And I'm ok with licensing laws, where the pet has to be altered to get a license and if you don't have one you'll be fined.

No, not to Abu Dhabi. But yes, that's right my friends, I'm potentially going to pay several hundred dollars to do it too. So, right now I sound crazy. Let me explain and hear me out.
