I was working in a restaurant in my hometown about four or five years ago when a woman who was fascinated with American Indians asked me if I knew of where she could find some “real Indians”. She wanted to see a tribe in action, and specifically wanted her picture taken with an Indian. I informed her that I was Indian. She looked at me in disbelief, as if I were lying about the whole ordeal.
